Hard Working Homeowners

Since the move, MC and I have been HARD at work trying to cover up the previous owner's obsession (and I do mean obsession) with the color green.  I attacked the exterior of the house, painting our shutters black and our door a deep burnt red color called Pomegranite, while MC tackled the BEAST known as the office.  We chose a nice soft gray-blue and and soft satin black for the built-in bookshelves.  This room is going to be awesome when its done...if its ever done.  Its a trim/detailing NiGhTmArE!

BEFORE: Not the best photo, but this is the front of the home with the bright green Shutters.

AFTER: Our new black shutters and Pomegranite Door.  Love it!  I can't wait until we can refresh the stucco, trim and garage color.  Nothing like a new coat of paint!

BEFORE:  This pic was taken pre-move in.  The green on the walls really made the room dark and dungeony. What you can't see is the dirty yellow ceiling.

AFTER:  Its still obviously a work in progress, but I can't wait for the final result.  It was really ballsy to paint the built-ins, but we are really happy with the result, so far!

That's all for now.

Meow! (BYE!)
