Officially into my second week of work and surprisingly things are going well. Waking up at 6:15 am isnt as painful as I thought it would be, probably because my body has adjusted to getting no sleep at all. I actually look forward to the days I make it into work at 730. The day flies by and at 3:30 i'm in my car headed home to my lovely squishy. Working from home on Mondays and Wednesdays is pretty great. I treasure every moment I spend with K. There are times, however, when he is distracting...like when he's sitting behind me in the swing...looking cute as a button. But really, WHO could work with a face like that staring at them!?
As for me, I'm just starting to feel like my old self again (until I get a glimpse of myself as I run into the shower). My doctor told me there is no reason I can't start working out again, so I suppose i've run out of excuses. I've tried "running" twice now and believe me, I use the term "running" lightly. Have you ever walked behind an old woman, dragging her shoes across the floor as she walks? Well if you have, then you'll know just what picture should come to mind when picturing me running. It's amazing what 9 months of pregnancy, a bad back, 1 C-Section, and a 7- LB bundle can do to rob you of any athletisism you may have once had.. Literally, every bone from the hip down ached as I try to move my feet in some sort of running-like motion. It's going to be a long road to get back to where I once was.
I wouldn't get a lick of work done if I was looking at the mug. Little bean!!
